InSilicoTrials-Led Consortium Secures Up to $30M ARPA-H Funding to Redefine Cardiac Drug Safety | StartUp Health Insights: Week of Dec 23, 2025
StartUp Health community member InSilicoTrials is leading a new consortium to help predict how a person’s heart will respond to a new medicine, one of the most persistent blind spots in drug development. It was part of a notably active and global week, with substantial investment flowing into AI, digital health, biotech, mental health, chronic care, and life sciences across almost a dozen countries.
Long-time StartUp Health community member InSilicoTrials has partnered with The Jackson Laboratory to lead CARDIOVERSE, a $30M initiative funded by ARPA-H through its CATALYST program to redefine cardiac drug safety with virtual heart models. Alongside The New York Stem Cell Foundation, UConn Health, and the University of Michigan this consortium will create the next generation of virtual heart models capable of representing the genetic, physiological, and demographic diversity of the American population, fundamentally transforming cardiac safety prediction. <source>
