This week’s reported global health innovation funding included:
DP Technology, a Beijing, China-based startup that uses its AI tools to accelerate scientific research in everything from laboratory automation to drug development, raised 800M yuan ($114M) led by Fortune Venture Capital and the Beijing Jingguorui Equity Investment Fund, with participation from the Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund, Beijing Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Investment Fund, Lenovo Capital, Incubator Group, and Oriza Hua. <source>
Biobeat Technologies, a Petah Tikva, Israel- and Boca Raton, FL-based blood pressure monitoring startup, raised $50M led by Ally Bridge Group, OrbiMed Advisors, and Elevage Medical Technologies, with participation from other investors. <source>
Nanit, a New York, NY-based baby monitoring company, raised $50M led by Springcoast Partners, with participation from Upfront Ventures and JVP. <source>
Even Healthcare, a Bengaluru, India-based healthcare startup integrating digital health technologies, including AI-driven tools and expanded telemedicine capabilities, across hospital operations, raised $20M led by Lachy Groom and Alpha Wave Global, with participation from Sharrp Ventures. <source>
FutureCure Health, a Jaipur, India-based health tech company focused on super-speciality care, raised Rs 104 crore ($11.5M) led by Carnelian Asset Management, with participation from other investors. <source>
Cellens, a Boston, MA-based cancer diagnostics startup developing an AI-driven mechanobiology platform for non-invasive bladder cancer detection, raised $6.5M led by SOSV, with participation from the Labcorp Venture Fund, American Cancer Society BrightEdge, KOLON, Blackwood Healthcare Breakthroughs, Tufts University, Cancer Fund, TiE Boston Angels, and other investors. <source>
SORA Technology, a Tokyo, Japan-based startup that leverages drones and AI to address global challenges in public health, agriculture, and disaster response, raised R40.8M ($2.5M) from Daiwa House Group Investment Limited Partnership, Central Japan Innovative Research Fund I, and UNERI Capital Fund Series I. <source>
BIOCOM, a Seoul, South Korea-based startup that maintains Korea’s largest database of metabolome data extracted from biological samples and multi-omics data and leverages AI to deliver personalized optimal health management solutions, raised an undisclosed amount from NH Bank, Nice Investment Partners, and Shinhan Venture Investment. <source>
Puzzle Healthcare, a Detroit, MI-based provider of a post-acute care coordination platform, raised an undisclosed amount from HCAP Partners. <source>
Ultromics, an Oxford, UK-based startup developing technology that helps clinicians detect heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) – a condition that disproportionately affects women and is too often missed until it’s advanced, raised an undisclosed amount from Go Red for Women Venture Fund, a financial reserve within American Heart Association Ventures. <source>
