Cala Health Raises Another $50M for Wearable Tremor Treatment | StartUp Health Insights: Week of Oct 28, 2025

Cala Health is a bioelectronic medicine company transforming the standard of care for chronic disease. The StartUp Health community member’s wearable neuromodulation therapies merge innovations in neuroscience and technology to deliver individualized peripheral nerve stimulation. Beyond Cala, new funding flowed into AI care agents, aging diagnostics, neurotech, surgical workflow automation, and virtual pharmacy services – signaling continued investor interest across digital health and life sciences.

Cala Health, a member of the StartUp Health community since 2019, raised $50M led by Niterra Ventures. With this investment, Cala will scale commercial operations and expand its sales and marketing efforts to educate both patients and healthcare providers about the company’s innovative wearable therapy for essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. <source>

Felix Health, a Toronto, ON, Canada-based telehealth platform that covers assessments, lab tests, prescriptions, and drug delivery in every Canadian province except for Quebec, raised $53M from the Canadian Business Growth Fund (CBGF), with participation from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) Women in Tech Venture Fund, BMO Capital Partners, Scotiabank, Whitecap Venture Partners, and H Venture Partners. <source>

Chemify, a Glasgow, Scotland, UK-based deep-tech company combining chemistry, robotics, computation, and AI to digitize molecule creation, raised $50M co-led by Wing Venture Capital and Insight Partners, with participation from 8VC, Triatomic Capital, Blueyard, Rockspring, and Eos. <source>

Expedition Medicines, a biotech startup using AI to expand the boundaries of medicine and drug discovery, raised $50M from Flagship Pioneering. <source>

SheMed, a London, England, UK-based women's health startup providing branded GLP-1 medications and a weight management platform, raised $50M from undisclosed investors. <source>

Hyro, a New York, NY-based startup providing healthcare AI agents to resolve up to 85% of routine patient interactions, including registration, routing, scheduling, and prescription management, raised $45M led by Healthier Capital, with participation from Norwest, Define Ventures, Bon Secours Mercy Health, ServiceNow Ventures, and other investors. <source>

Generation Lab, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of a platform designed to provide comprehensive, accurate, and actionable aging diagnostics, raised $11M led by Accel, with participation from Samsung Next, Zone2, Aoki Labs, Build Your Legacy (BYL) Ventures, and Markham Valley Ventures. <source>

Ampa, a Palo Alto, CA-based neurotechnology startup creating practical tools that help people recover their mental health, raised $8.5M led by Nexus NeuroTech Ventures, with participation from Satori Capital, Morningside Ventures, Continuum Health Ventures, the Zabara Foundation, and individual investors. <source>

VitVio, a Boston, MA-based AI-powered platform that autonomously coordinates operating room staff, flags delays, and reduces the administrative load on surgical teams, raised $8M led by Bek Ventures (fka Earlybird Digital East), with participation from LDV Capital, Tiny Supercomputer Investment Company, Balnord, Thornapple River Capital, Joe Mullings, and Mati Staniszewski. <source>

Honey Health, a Mountain View, CA-based all-in-one back office AI platform for healthcare organizations, raised $7.8M led by Pelion Ventures, with participation from Streamlined, Burst Capital, and 8-Bit Capital. <source>

Moberg Analytics, a Philadelphia, PA-based advanced brain monitoring and critical care informatics startup, raised $600k led by Ben Franklin Technology Partners, with participation from Overbrook Capital, MVP Capital Partners, and private investors. <source>

Janus RX, a Montgomery, AL-based provider of comprehensive behavioral health pharmacy services, raised an undisclosed amount from FFL Partners. <source>
