This week, Virtuleap, a Lisbon, Portugal-based immersive cognitive training solutions provider that has been in the StartUp Health community since 2019, announced the acquisition of roughly $2.5M in a move to integrate AI as part of its VR product portfolio. GED Ventures Portugal led the new investment round. <source>

This week’s reported health innovation funding included:

Orchid, a San Francisco , CA-based reproductive technology startup, raised $12M from Prometheus Fund, Refactor Capital, and individual backers. <source>

Medefy Health, a Tulsa, OK-based provider of a mobile-first healthcare benefits navigation platform, raised $10M led by Mercury Fund, with participation from Advantage Capital. <source>

Spore.Bio, a deeptech startup that has built the world’s first device for immediate detection of pathogens, raised €8M (~$8.6M) led by LocalGlobe. <source>

InpharmD, an Atlanta, GA-based provider of an AI-based drug information service, raised $6.05M led by 645 Ventures, with participation from Atlanta Ventures, Y Combinator, Qlarant Capital, SF ELC, and angels. <source>

Durin Technologies, a Stratford, NJ-based innovator in neurodegenerative disease diagnostic test development and commercialization, raised $3.5M led by Breakthrough Diagnostics. <source>

Naobios, a Nantes, France-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on the vaccine development process, raised a $1.87M grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. <source>
